Zalando is an e-commerce mail order company based in Berlin, which specializes in the online sale of shoes and other fashion consumer goods. The company was founded in 2008 and has more than 50 million active users in 25 European markets. Zalando has pitched itself as a digital shopping mall, allowing fashion houses and retailers to also sell through partners, with limited input from Zalando.
